M.E. KAZI M.A.I. Girls Hostel managed by The Surti Garasiya Muslim Education Society, was established in 1992. When it was started in 1992-93 there were 35 girls in the hostel. The number of girls increased in the following.

The hostel is situated in the M.A.I. Education Complex, Kathor. In this complex there is the facility of primary, Secondary and higher Secondary Boy’s as well as Girl’s school in both the English and Gujarati Medium. So the Girls don’t have to go outside of the campus.

Besides in the hostel there are 10 Aalemaas, who teach Quran Sharif in the morning and give necessary Islamic Taalim in the evening.

In this way Dunyavi [Worldly] and Deeni [Religious] education is imparted in hostel to the girls.

Girls from all the communities of Muslim study by staying  in this hostel . We have girls from Shaikh, Saiyed, Pathan, Malek, Vohra, Qureshi, Mansoor, Memon and Garasiya community in the hostel.

Now there is a great increase in the number  of the girls. Last year we received 500 applications but because of the lack of rooms in the hostel we were able to give admission accommodation in hostel is only for 300 girls.

This is the only hostel in the whole of  the South Gujarat where the girls from almost all the communities of muslim study staying under the one roof.

In our hostel, the total fees for one girl is Rs. 10,500/- [Ten thousands five Hundred Only] including food bill, admission fees and term fees. One has to pay Rs. 10,500/- as donation in adopting one girl. In our hostel we have orphan [Yatim] girls very poor girls and girls from very interior villages where they don’t have any education facilities. Mostly yatim and very poor girls are staying hostel are not paying anything.
